Here at M D Joinery we supply and install uPVC windows and doors, and carry out joinery work for the commercial sector. This is a growing part of our business and one that we have excelled in over the past few years.
One of the main reason for our success is our high level of organisation with both planning the work and the way in which it is carried out on site by our highly trained staff. To successfully carry out commercial projects no matter how large or small they may be, you need to have good staff both on site and in the office who have a very clear understanding of health and safety and who can work with other trades.
We have this at M D Joinery
We carry out a wide variation of commercial work and below you will find some examples
We supply and install replacement windows and doors glazed with acoustic glass to help lower noise levels for the Whitbread group hotel chain “Premier Inn”. During 2008 we carried out several installations for the group ranging from over 100 windows in a large Birmingham hotel to a couple of entrance doors at a much smaller hotel run by the group in Bromsgrove. All the jobs were carried out in a professional manner and with very little disturbance to the hotel staff and guests. We are looking forward to this carrying on.
In the January and February of 2008 we installed replacement windows for Cosmopolitan housing association who are a Liverpool based housing associated with over 10,000 properties in the North West. We carried out work on 19 bungalows with elderly residents in them. The feedback we received from ALL the residents was faultless and they all wrote to the housing association to say how pleased they were with all our company and most importantly how polite and tidy our staff are.
We carry out work at several properties in Southport that are operated by Craegemoor Healthcare. These properties are used by the residential students who attend Arden College in Southport, this college is for students aged 16 -25 with learning disabilities and/ or challenging behaviour and social and emotional difficulties. We have installed internal fire doors complete with self closers and smoke strips, Velux roof lights, safety glazing to windows that have been fitted by others but have not had safety glass fitted in accordance with glass and glazing guidelines, carried out remedial work to the roofs were slates or lead flashings have either come off completely or have simply slipped out of position, we have even recently taken on a team of decorators to carry out the redecoration of some of the properties as the company struggles to find reliable workmen who will turn up and carry out the work on time and in a professional manner without causing problems to the residents or the carers. The feedback we have received from the management structure at the college has been excellent.
We work for many local landlords, letting agents, and property management companies. We install uPVC windows, entrance doors, and in some case complete shop fronts, but also get involved in carrying out various repairs to existing windows and doors whether they are timber or uPVC. One of the main jobs we get asked to carry out is communal entrance doors that need to have disabled access, self closers fitted, electric release locking systems, and multiple letterboxes. These can be tricky but due to our many years worth of experience we carry out many of these a year.
We have seen an increase in the amount of commercial work we have been doing over the past few years and it is something that we are looking to take forward in years to come.
